Now that the house is bought I can tell you the story!
This single dad’s #1 criteria was to find a home within his ideal budget that also suited his 13 yr old son, in a neighborhood that was central & kid-friendly. I took him through a few homes over a couple of months, but everything changed when we drove up to this one. You see, this dad also loves to sail! He is an avid outdoor enthusiast with dreams of retiring to the west coast one day to sail his life away ~
You’ll never believe what was in the driveway of this home – a sailboat! Was this a sign? He wasn’t about to admit that – or ignore the due diligence (or parquet flooring). Yet, through some assertive negotiations, and even a momentary hiccup, he found himself able to waive his Conditions just in time.
He and his son (who is ecstatic about being near a skate park!) moved in, are renovating and making themselves at home.
