Forget about ‘Capturing’ your Leads. CONNECTION is where it’s at!
One thing I heard at a recent conference is that ‘they are on to you’. When potential leads are on your website and signing up for something, they don’t want to be captured, they just want the info. They will give email addresses they rarely use, fictional names and made-up phone numbers so that you won’t harass them.
So, how can you connect and offer value that will lead to potential clients actually wanting to take the next step with you?
After spending the last two months looking up a tonne of Solo-Entrepreneur websites I noticed something (or lack of something) that I think could really be improved on, your blog!
So many REALTORS® are using their blog page as a mere posting of listings, and many others look like you gave up 2 months after you started.
I have some advice.
Consider what your clients are interested in and write a brief article to help them.
Get a great visual from a site like Fotolia.com and use it to draw interest to your subject. Then post it on your blog, and then share it on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Everywhere your customers hang out! Do it once a month and you will see yourself becoming a regarded expert in your industry with an image that is personable. This will connect you to everyone who reads your ideas, research, point of view and voila, you have a new “CONNECTION”.
You could even use the same article for a mass e-newsletter to send to all your past clients
